What factors go into pricing your holiday lighting package, good question?
The size of your home will affect the price of installation. The larger the home, the more space you will need to cover and the more money you will need to spend on both the lighting and the cost of labor for installation. Your choice of lights, colored or white, LED or standard, icicle lights and roping lights will affect the cost of your project. LED lights cost more up front but they will save you money in the long run because they are more energy efficient. Lastly, electric you will need for your project affects your cost. Extension cords, stakes, and timers are needed for most jobs. Timers cost more at the start but will save you money in the long run. The prices listed in this article are strictly “ballpark” costs; some installations may be less expensive and some installations can go as high as $15,000!
Additional services to consider:
- Natural garland with lights, pricing is by total footage, garland & labor to install, remove and store.
- Tree light prices are determined by the number of strands per tree, number of trees, type of wrap (canopy or branch wrap) and labor cost to install & remove lights.
Professionally installed holiday lighting is becoming more and more popular and it is not hard to understand why especially in the northeastern Pennsylvania where the temperatures can fluctuate so drastically that one day in December it can be 55 degrees and twenty-four hours later it can be 27 degrees and snowing. Of course, that would be the day you have marked on your busy holiday calendar to put up your holiday lights.
